Aladdin's Oasis, DLR - can I find a schedule somewhere?

Unfortunately, Aladdin's Oasis does not currently host a show. It is sometimes used as a meet and greet area for Aladdin and Jasmine (and very rarely, Genie too).

During the spring/summer of last year they closed it to open the Indiana Jones stunt show for the new movie. After summer season the Indie show stopped. DD, and I were there end of Oct, and there is nothing held there. We just happend to come up on Aladdin there once for meet and greets he was alone, and just standing there.

::insert sad face::

Oh I don't like it when things disappear before I ever have a chance to enjoy them...

We saw Aladdin and Jasmin there wearing their "cold desert nights" outfits. :)

I remember years ago it used to be a restaurant that had little "magic" lamps in the middle of the tables. I think there was some sort of show that went on while you ate, but I can't remember.

That would be too cute...a little show and dinner. :) They need to bring things like that back.

We saw the story time and the Indy shows there over our last yearly pass deal. I'm glad we saw them before they were gone. :)

The story time was pretty cute, but I guess after the Aladdin musical was released in DCA, maybe the Oasis doesn't attract as many guests as expected? :confused3

The dinner/lunch show they had was the greatest. I think it was back in 1994 and only lasted one season. They did a condensed version of the Aladian musical with a middle eastern dinner. The menu I sort of remember being Chicken and Couscus. It was very small settting and you were sitting very close to the stage and the action happened all around you. I remember Aladdin swing in during the chase seen after stealing the bread and they served the flat breads to each table. The singing and acting was good and they had comical Genie. They would even pull people out of the audience for part of the show. For Desert, they served a chocolate lantern with chocolate mousse. At that time the cost of the lunch show was $21/person. I remember thinking it was well worth it.

It was very well done and I even wrote them after they discontinued it, but the response was they are always trying new things.
