Aladdin Question

Is the first show (or the last) for Aladdin usually very crowded? I'm trying to figure out which day to schedule Aladdin for the week of June 14th. I'm thinking that Wednesday June 16th may be best (AP blocked & no WOC that night due to Grad night), the show times are: 12:10 p.m., 1:50 p.m., & 4:15 p.m. I'm thinking either the first or last show would be best when taking into consideration the Early Morning DL hours (at 7am) and taking an afternoon break....but maybe Thursday (also AP blocked & no WOC) would be better since we get to sleep in a bit (8:40 Plaza Inn Ressies)....I'm just worried about leaving it until too late in the trip & missing it (we have a half day Friday).

Dare I say, just pick a time when you are in DCA and go?

It's a great show. It shows a LOT throughout the day. You will want to get there early to line up and get good seats, but I don't think all the other factors that you are concerned about really matter (to be honest). It's a stage show.

You can make your head spin with AP blockouts, WOC, MM, etc. factors. Just know it's something you want to do and when you're there, pick a day and time to go and see it. Done. :goodvibes

Well what I meant when taking EE into consideration is that we are going to be tired (up since 5:30 or so) & ready for a break around noon....so not sure if we should try and catch the 1st show, then break....or break & come back to catch the last show.

In Regards to WOC I'm thinking the crowds will be less crazy on Grad Nights since there is no WOC that day.

we saw the show yesterday is great don't miss it. went at 4:15 had preferred seating so we were at the third row! but the theather wasn't full at all

We did early entry, and left DL around 11:15 or 11:30, headed to DCA and lined up for Aladdin for the first show then went back to DLH, ate, pool, and napped. It was perfect that way. Good luck! We loved it. All of us (41, 39, 17, 6, and 4) were mesmerized the entire show.

When you have preferred seating how early do you have to show up and do you have to do anything special like tell a CM before hand?

We are staying at the DLH (booked through Southwest)...will we have preferred seating?

Thanks for this thread & yes, I'd love to know about how ps works for this since we get ps for Aladdin included in our Costco package. :)

I arrived 30 minutes ahead but 15 should be fine. they have a VIP entrance where a CM gets your ticket from the booklet. so
two lines

Is Aladdin showing everyday over the summer? We are going in July, and I was just curious.

I think I remember reading that they are only issued in package deals but can't say for sure though. Like others mine was through costco.

Thanks for the info! We're going to cancel our reservation thru continental, and will book the summer package direct from Disney.:cool1:

Looking at the July calendar, there is none. But I'm sure they will have to update it before your trip. Check back at the disney website :)

If you have a Costco membership and book through them, you also get free premium dining vouchers and a $20 gift card [I'm still kicking myself for that :headache:].

When I was there last summer, it did not play every day (I don't believe it ever does). But it should play at least 3-4 days each week. Just check back on the entertainment calendar on Disney's website in a few weeks.

I'm sure if you look at the schedule for the last week in June it will be very similar for July.

I'd even stretch this to say--pretty much everything in both parks has "dark" days (days off). The Pixar parade does not go every day, Billy Hill and the Hillbilliles trades off days with Laughing Stock Co--that's why it's pretty important to at least tentatively map out your days using the schedule if you really want to see a particular show or parade.
