AL Travelers - go through B'ham or Atlanta?

I am trying to figure out which route to go to WDW. If you live in Alabama, do you go through Birmingham & Montgomery or do you go over to Atlanta and down I - 75?

go I65 to I85 exit 9 then us 231 to I10.

I live in Arkansas, but I travel through Birmingham. We go 280 from Birmingham to Columbus, GA, and then 80/96 to I-75. This route connects to I-75 about 25 miles south of Macon.

I'm of the opposite type. I like interstate all the way and Atlanta doesn't bother us at all.

I take 565W - 65S - 20E - 75S - 475S - 75S - Turnpike - 429S - Western Way.

When we drive, we usually leave after work (about 5ish), which gets us through B'ham about 7:00CST and Atlanta about 10:00 EST.

We stop usually in Macon, then leave the next morning about 6am which gets us to WDW noonish.

Coming home is usually Sunday, so no traffic problems then.
