Al Lutz has a new update today (July 6)

At the end of his article was a small mention about the WOC roadshow which is making its first stop somewhere in San Fran tonight but I can't find any info anywhere online about where this will be held in the city. Am I missing something? Anyone have more information?

Edit: Sorry this wasn't in Al Lutz's article but in the "Dateline Disneyland" update on the same website.

I haven't looked at it but on Facebook, Disneyland is posting information on the roadshow.

So anyone who goes to DL during the day can stay for the Halloween party events without buying a ticket?

Not exactly, they can watch the fireworks. Al suggests that they will be able to continue to ride the rides because the CMs will be lazy. Which I'm not so sure about. In wdw during Extra Magic hours, the CM's check the Key To The World cards right to the end. Not all the time but they are at least spot checking. These CMs have to do this every few days and don't just quite checking. Still the regular visitors don't get any of the other benefits to the HP without the wriste band.

Just to answer my own question in case anyone else was interested it is at the Palace of the Legion of Honor and will be showing again tomorrow night. We just watched the live online broadcast and it was AMAZING. A WOC type light show projected onto the building. The website is worldofcolorroadshow.com

It was pretty good! I imagine it must look amazing in real life...why can't it come out here??? Lack of landmarks? ;)

WoC road show at SF was amazing tonight and I am looking forward to the Sacramento road show next week when they shoot it at Old Sac.

I don't know if it was just me, but Al Lutz seemed incredibly negative in his latest write up. I generally breeze over his column and take it with the grain of salt that I feel it's worth, but this time, as I was reading I found myself turned off by his negativity towards AP holders, locals, and Cast Members. Does Al need a hug?

Direct quotes from his latest blog:

"...is infuriating the Annual Passholders who have grown accustomed to swooping in to DCA after work and having the park practically all to themselves."

"Many of the AP’s are still fuming about it,"

"the front-line CM’s and their immediate managers put up a quick Us vs. Them mentality"

"[CM's}only do the bare minimum required to get the complaining person to go away. "

"Or worse, they hide behind the fine print and arcane legal concepts,"

"The local fans...were furious to learn..."

"...after about an hour the CM’s get tired of checking every wrist and they give up on screening people for the night."

"...it might not work at Disneyland once the million Annual Passholders in SoCal figure out ways to game the system without a party ticket."

Cheer up, Al. Many CMs do amazing things for guests everyday and locals and APs just like to have fun like everyone else.

Maybe he just has midsummer blues.

For the love of Disney,
Dreams

I live in Sacramento, could you tell me about this? When and where it will be? I would appreciate this very much. Corrina

I was surprised to hear "the CM's get lazy and stop checking" the wristbands. We've been to MNSSHP at WDW twice now and they check wristbands at every single ride entrance the whole night, for our entire family of five. They also check at food carts, stores, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a CM at the entrance to the bathrooms to check for wristbands. That being said, we may stay for the fireworks, if that is the DL policy.

I too am surprised and disappointed if A.L. is right about how the DL CMs will act (it seems that he's basing this assumption on past DL wristbanded events? I've never attended one so I didn't know this how they act vs. WDW CMs. :(
