Just booked a studio for Nov at AKV. Anyone have comments about the accomodations, busses to parks, etc...

We stayed at AKV but in a 1BR. We loved the resort, had a SV (you didn't mention if you'll have a SV studio) but there are plenty of places around the resort to view animals. We ate one night at Boma which was great and the CS restaurant, Mara, is very good as well (didn't get to eat at Jiko, though). We found the transportation to/from AKV to be fantastic - I don't think we ever waited more than 5-10 minutes for buses.

We just booked a 1 bed Sav. View for Nov. as well. Our first "welcome home" trip. We stayed at AKL a couple years ago and loved it!!! That why we bought there. I love animals and to be able to sit on my balcony and watch the animals is incredible. The pool was great - my son learned how to swim underwater there!!!! The kids activities were wonderful - our DS really got into them. I don't mind that it's farther away from the other parks. My favorite is AK anyhow. I love the feel of being away for it all and losing myself in Africa.

I must admit, that the walk to the bus was long - especially at night when I DH had to carry our sleeping DS4. But it was well worth it and I can't wait to go back home.

We were there in a studio in January. Loved the room -- the look, the HD plasma TV, furniture on the balcony which was nicer than the other DVC properties -- and the resort itself, with the restaurants and, most of all, the animals. Also, sitting by the outdoor fire pit was terrific on a cool day!
