AKV value rooms

Has anyone stayed in the value rooms at AKV is it worth being able to bank the 20 point difference from the standard view. I mean how bad can it be ?

I answered your question about the value villas on the other thread. They are limited in number and go quickly to members who own there at eleven months out.

I do not think the value rooms are bad at all. If I have booked a studio, I want it to be at Jambo, because of the layout, two sinks especially, and I would take a value over a standard any day! Sometimes I definitely want savannah view, so I will book that first, but what value rooms have going for them is their location. They are all at a reasonable distance from the pool and bus stop.

My DW and I stayed in a value studio at Jambo in early December 2013 and it was perfect for the two of us. We were fortunate to get a savannah view and the room location was great (near the elevators / lobby, etc.).

We have not stayed in a standard view room at AKV, so I cannot compare, but I would say that putting more than two people in the value view could make things a bit tight.

We've put 4 adults in an All Stars room before though, so I guess it just depends on your needs. For us, we were happy with the AKL value studio and would do that again to save points.

Oh, the little "extra." The ones that are pool view are in the hall where the free USA Today newspapers are left!

The studio has a kitchenette. The one bedroom has a kitchen. The two bedroom (because it is a lockoff has both a kitchen and a kitchenette).
