AKV Value rooms ?

Apart from the view... what is the difference between a value room and any other room at AKV?

The Values only exist in Jambo House at AKV and are about 3 feet shorter than the other villas in Jambo House. They can have either a pool view, savanna view or parking lot view. The 1 & 2 Bedroom Values don't have a sleeper chair so the occupancy is one less than the other 1 & 2 Bedroom Villas.

In all 3 of the value studios I've had the bed and couch were in reverse positions-that is, the bed was next to the window and the couch was closer to the kitchenette. Two years ago, I transferred from a standard view studio to a value studio for a few nights specifically so I could get a feel for the difference. Both studios were pool view, and I liked the value as much if not more. The placement of the bed closer to the window in a pool view, however, may bother some who are extremely light sleepers.

The "Value" designation on a room is not a view designation. it's a room size designation. The value rooms are 3 feet shorter than a normal sized room, so there is less space.

If you book a value room, you have a 40% chance of a pool view, 40% chance of a savanna view, and a 20% chance of a parking lot view. Views can be requested but, like all requests, can't be guaranteed.
