I'm planning a two night stay for my family at AKV for Feb 2008...following a Disney 4-day cruise. I'm still working on getting everyone to confirm, etc..., but assuming that we all go, I'm wondering how many rooms I need at AKV.

Right now I have a value 2-bdrm and 2 value studios reserved. One studio will go to my brother and his kids. The question I have is...how many can fit comfortably in the 2 bdrm studio? Could seven of us -- DH, DS(4), DS(2), MIL, my mom and dad and me all fit comfortably? :confused3 Or am I better off keeping the studio and the two bedroom to accommodate all of us?

Thanks for advice!

The value 2 bedrooms will sleep 8. The other 2 bedrooms will sleep nine.:thumbsup2 I'd save the points and have the 7 of you stay in the one value 2br.

We did a 2 bed standard at AVK 2 weeks ago. There were 5 of us (2 adult, 3 kids under 12). We were extremely comfortable. We had a lockoff and my 2 girls shared the Q bed in the studio bedroom and my son slept on the sofabed in that same bedroom. We would not have wanted to add any more people to the room b/c then someone would have to sleep on the sofa bed and/or pullout chair in the living room. That would not work for us. My parents are joining us on our trip in May and we got a Grand Villa so that no one would be sleeping in the living room. We LOVED AKV and cant wait to go back!! :goodvibes

Just figure out where everyone is going to sleep. You could put you, DH and the boys in one BR - give your mom and dad the master BR, then put your MIL on the pullout couch in the Living Room. Is everyone going to be OK with that? In particular, is MIL going to be OK on the pull-out while your patents get the super-nice bed room?

I'd switch it up a bit...

I'd take the MB, put the boys (in the bed) and your MIL (on the pullout) in the 2nd BR, and put your parents on the queen pull out in the LR.

No hurt feelings that way. :)

But salmoneous' point is a good one...whatever arrangements you decide work best for you, make sure they're OK with everyone else, too.

I'd put my parents in the master, my MIL and my sons in the studio (give grandma the bed, the little boys can share the pullout) and have my DH and I sleep in the living room.
But only you know what configuration would work best for your extended family.
