Arrived @ 1030am on the 14th. We didn't expect the room to be ready and it wasn't. The CM who checked us in was friendly. Room was ready around 3pm. the room was a 1 bedroom. Room # 5549 savannah view.

Room was clean and we were happy. Here's a few pics.

Great stay and the bus transportation was AWESOME. hopefully they can keep it up when the new Villas are built. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Thanks for posting the pics!

We'll be there in 36 days...

How was the pull out chair? I noticed that you had it out.

1 of my daughters slept on it. She must of liked it because the next day she called sleeping on it all week.

I felt this was the most relaxing resort we have stayed at. Last yr we stayed at BCV and SSR and the year before we were at BCV.

We missed walking to the parks but felt the bus service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing them. We're looking forward to our AKV trip starting Dec. 1.

Can't wait!! :yay:

Thanks for sharing your pics! And I'm glad to know the chair/bed is comfy for kids.

any adults sleep on it with good results??

Did you request a specific savannah view? My sister LOVES giraffes, so when we stay there, she would love to have a view of giraffes.

The onies were a gift for my daughter's teacher. She is going to be having twins and asked us to pick up some for her. Not sure if a convience store is close or not. The market palce had alot of items that you could buy but we did a grocery stop on the way there.

All we requested was a savannah view. The only animal that did not make it around to our savannah was the Zebra. But we viewed from the viewing areas and the windows that are in the hallways.

Thank you so much for posting your pictures, it looks wonderful, especially the view from the balcony!
Hope to stay there one day.

We toured the models in August & I REALLY want an add-on there now - the models were just gorgeous. We have a DVC cash ressie there for 3 n. in a Value Studio next July (I had to call 3 or 4 diff. times to catch it). But every time I see someone post new pics I get the bug to buy all over again! :goodvibes I keep telling DH if we bought there our 3 n. next July would already help start to pay for it!:)

You were able to make a cash reservation for a Value studio? I'm very surprised. I expected that the Value and Concierge villas would not be available for cash reservations.

I was surprised too! I just kept calling (this was my 3rd or 4th call spaced over several weeks time) as there usually wasn't anything available - so I had gone ahead & made a ressie for a pool view at the lodge just to have something booked - but they said the inventory for the cash ressies in the Villas changes frequently as they finish the units - so I just kept calling. At this stage, they don't count the unit until it's done & ready to be rented. Then as soon as one is done it's put into inventory. Anyway, on this particular call she came back from checking & offered a Savanna view studio. So I asked if that was the only type that was available (as the price was about $50 / day higher than what we were paying for the other room) and she went off & checked again & came back and said she had 1 Value Studio so I grabbed it! The Value Studio is about $59 / day less than the pool view room with our discount! I had really hoped for a Std. view but she said that is definitely the most requested type of unit so I was happy just to be able to get what we could get!:woohoo: It's only for 3 nights pre-DCL cruise so our time will be limited anyway! But I can't wait - we stayed in the lodge the first year it was open & just loved it...we always try to get over there to eat at Boma too whenever we're there...

Now if I can just get DH to agree to a small add-on!:rolleyes1
