AKV tapestry

Has anybody heard anything further since we mailed back the response cards stating how we would like our names to appear on the tapestry?

Just wondering because it has been a while now.

How did you put the name on the card. For example would you put Smith Family or would you just put Smith and they would add the family to it.

I had all sorts of questions about this. Uncharacteristically for Disney, they didn't explain didly in the mailings. Every time they mailed something about this it raised more questions than answers.

Anyway, I called my guide, who did some research and got back to me...
No, the word "Family" will not be added. Whatever 16 charcters you put, is what you'll get.

99.99% of the time Disney executes projects like this flawlessly. This particular one has been wadded up since the beginning... Even before the beginning actually.

I agree with you MG, things did not go smoothly on this one.

We were also told that the word "family" would not be added. Having a shorter last name, and such a generic one, we decided to try to be original. We actually chose to go with the name

"The Clark Kabila"

Kabila being the swahili word for "tribe"

We thought it would be unique, took exactly 16 spaces, and we should hopefully be able to pick it out quickly when the "official" tapestry is displayed.

We'll see.

As more time goes by, the more disappointed we have been with the whole tapestry thing. Knowing now how things turned out, is the biggest reason I will not but KT on the initial release.
