AKV Studio Location Help

I'm asking on behalf of my folks who will be joining us on our trip in their own studio.

Is it reasonable for them to book a Savannah Studio that is near the lobby? What about a Standard Studio near the lobby? They are more than likely going to opt for a Savannah view.

Both can walk fine short distances (and my mom can do long distances), but my dad will probably be renting an ECV from an outside company for the parks because he has trouble with distances. He will also probably go back to his room at the resort more often than the rest of us. I don't think he'd be happy with a 10 minute walk (or ride) to his room.

Are there any other different/better requests to make to meet his needs?

There are savanna and standard studios near the lobby (and throughout the resort) at both resorts (at Jambo there are even some standard and savanna rooms including studios on the fifth floor directly above the lobby). Close to lobby would be a request to make if you want that. Alternative requests that would also put you close or fairly close to lobby include close to pool at Jambo and close to community hall at Kidani.

We had a great standard studio in June #5203 I believe that was right off the lobby and had a nice view but slightly obstructed sunset savannah view. This was at Jambo.

Below is a link to the 5th floor of Jambo House where most of the DVC Villas are (Concierge Level on the 6th).

Most Standard Views will be on the Zebra Trail facing the Uzima Pool. There are some Standard Views that used to be classified as Savanna View, but were reclassified due to partial or poor views of the Savannas.

The Value Villas (smaller in size) are along the Giraffe & Ostrich Trails.

The white areas near the entrance were not taken over by DVC and are Standard Hotel Rooms.
