AKV room request ??

We have a 1 bedroom Savana view at Kadani booked. Want to see zebra and giraffe.

What should my room request be?

Would I be able to be near lobby, too?

You will want a room that overlooks the Sunset Savanna, which most of the KV Savanna View rooms do.

There is a second and much smaller Savanna at KV called the Pembe Savanna. The Pembe has Okapi & Red River Hogs in addition to some smaller hoofed animals, but no Zebras nor Giraffes.

Is this the same for Jambo House? Is Sunset the better savanna there too or is Arusha better? Do you know what animals are on the Arusha savanna? The only time we ever booked a SV room was on our first visit when DS was still a little kid and the first year AKL was even open. Way before there was a DVC there. We were on the end on the back side of the Uzima savanna and there were no animals anywhere all week. Very disappointing. That was the last time we ever "paid extra" to book a SV room....until this summer. Going to try again but def don't want Uzima again.

The Arusha Savanna used to be the largest savanna at JH until they expanded the Sunset Savanna when KV was built. I believe that both the Arusha & Sunset Savannas have basically the same animals. Although smaller, the Uzima Savanna usually has Giraffes and some of the other hoofed animals.

The Pembe is very small which is why there are none of the larger animals.

Arusha has the same animals as Sunset. I consider Arusha the best of the savannas for viewing animals with Sunset a good second.
