I am looking to travel to Disney in February and possibly stay at AKV..first what is better Kidani or Jambo, is ther a diference. Looking for a 1BR Savannha View..is Savannah View worth the extra points?

Also, how is transportation to/from AKV...I have always stayed at BWV and am used to walking from my resort to Hollywood Studios and to Epcot.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

We own at BWV, but I love AKV!

Kidani 1BR has a second bathroom.

Jamboree has Jiko and Mara.

Savannah view is worth it in my opinion.

If just DBF and I, I prefer Jambo, but with more than two people, I love the 2nd bath of Kidani.

opinions vary, but for a 1BR villa, kidani's extra bathroom is nice. i like jambo's lobby and easier access to jiko/boma restaurants.

i had a minor transportation issue once at AKV (it can happen anywhere). IMO the bus to MK takes a while, so i wouldn't pick AKV for a trip focused on the MK.

buses are the only option at AKV - AK is pretty close, but there's no walking path.

but the savanna view at AKV is pretty unique and i love the exotic vibe (background music/the smell of jambo's lobby-probably from boma)...i love AKV. but i would add that feb might be cold and at least some of the animals may not be out and about very often (warmer in the barn, i think).

Jambo House and Kidani Village share buses and the order of stops depends on where the bus is going once is leaves AKL/AKV. AKL/AKV does not share transportation with any other Disney Resort.

Theme Park Buses: Kidani Village, Jambo House, Theme Park
Downtown Disney Buses: Jambo House, Kidani Village, Downtown Disney

My family's 'policy' is to only stay there if we can get a savannah room. There is simply nothing better than waking up, getting a cup of coffee and sitting on your balcony watching the animals. It is a 'magical' way to start the day.

:thumbsup2 ::yes::

We have a 1 BR savannah view booked at Kidani in June. I have been going crazy today--I know I saw here somewhere a list of Kidani room numbers with the best location/views. Does anyone remember it? Bueller....?

All the view at Kidani are relatively equal. The difference is Kidani offers you the ability to be in a room on a lower level. In many people's opinions, including my own, you have a better view of the savannah from a lower level room.
