AKV questions

We just got home and I am already planning our March 2009 trip. We plan on staying at BCV for six nights and then I would like to move over to AKV for three nights and just relax and enjoy the resort.

I am going to book BCV at the 11 month window and may pay cash at AKV. My question is what areas will be open in March 2009. Where is a good location for a studio with a good view? Also- can you book for cash 11 months out?

I am not sure if you can book for cash 11 months out at AKV but no harm in trying. As to what will be open then, it is unclear. The Jambo conversion (at AKL) is done. The new and huge Kidani building is right now scheduled to open some unspecified date in "spring" 2009. If, as many suspect, it is going faster than planned, it may be open for your trip, but when you go to make the reservation (even if you wait until 7 months out) you may not be able to reserve it yet. Virtually any savanna view at Jambo (and undoubtedly at Kidani when done) is good. At Jambo, recommend if getting savanna view, you ask for Arusha savanna (the one inside the U of the U-shaped building). The others are good too but that is just our preference.
