AKV question

My DH and I are looking into buying at AKV and we have a question, if we book a room with our points and ask for Kidani village is that where they would assign our room, or is there a chance of being in Jambo house?

you tell them which building you want to be in. You can book a room at either place.

You probably know this, but BC is DVC, YC is not.

I think all the value rooms are at Jambo...so if you are using your points that way that is where you would stay. It isn't like any of the other resorts. It is like WL where you are completely immersed in your surroundings of an African savannah...from thatched roof to music played in the lobby. To me it is more like WL in that aspect. I think that is what you were asking.

AKV is one resort, so if AKV becomes your home resort you can book accommodations at Kidani or Jambo. However, Kidani and Jambo are separate booking categories within the AKV Resort. If you book an accommodation at Kidani, you are guaranteed that you will have an accommodation at Kidani. Both Kidani and Jambo have Standard View and Savanna View accommodations, but only Jambo has Value category accommodations and Concierge Level accommodations. Jambo House and Kidani Village are booking categories. You will know when you book which building you are in and you will check-in at that building.

If you request Kidani you will get kidani if you request Jambo you will get Jambo. Its like two seperate locations, even though it is on the same property. Hope this helps...

But should your Kidani Village villa be uninhabitable because of a maintenance issue, you might be put into Jambo House.
