AKV points ~ transferring

I just want to see if I have my facts straight on AKV points.

1. Those of us with an AKV contract can make reservations at any other DVC resort right now, provided the vacation dates are Sept. 1 or later.

2. AKV reservations can be made for Sept. 1 or later starting on May 16 if you have AKV points.

What about transfers? I have 2007 points that I won't be using. I can bank them, but I'd consider a transfer.

I'm assuming the same conditions apply since these are AKV points. Meaning, that they can be used for reservations Sept. 1 or later NOW, and can be used to make AKV reservations after May 16.

Can anyone confirm and/or clarify?

The latest information I have is that AKV will have a limited number of units ready in July '07 so any AKV member can try to reserve one starting May 16th.

I would assume if your UY is already here and gone then you could either bank or transfer those points. If they are developer points then I'm not sure those can be moved since they have a shorter expiration date.

Maybe. I think it depends on the particular unit you purchased and when it specifically will be ready for occupancy. Not all contracts will be for the portion ready on September 1. If this info isn't in your contract, you should call your guide (or maybe MS knows, I'm not sure). Chances are that since you bought so soon after the AKV became available, the date will end up to be September 1, but I really don't think it is Spetember 1 for everyone.
