AKV NEW 100pts-Developer pts or NOT??????

We recently purchased a NEW 100 point contract at AKV. I have read on the DIS boards that some people received the 100 developer points. My salesman said this is only for 160point contracts OR 100point ADD ON contracts. However, I thought I read on this site that some NEW 100 point contracts got the points. PLEASE help clear my confusion. I called my salesman back and mentioned the Steve Harvey show(read on here to do that) and that did not work, either. He reiterated the above. I surley hope that I am mistaken, b/c it is frustrating if others got those points and we are not. (Although if you did, yeah for you!)

I don't know what to do. I see that it may have been intended for 160point contracts only, but I definitely have heard from more than one person that they got it for a 100 point new contract. My guide has already said no. Should I push the issue or let it go? Every little penny helps, so I hate to miss out on a nice chunk of $, esp with the price of gas. My husband suggested I call and speak to a manager. Any thoughts?

We are rejoining DVC this week and my guide told me what you heard...the 100 developer points are for add ons only. Any purchase of 160 or greater gets matching developer points...this is at AKL.

Yes, the developer points on 100 points is only for add-ons, not for new 100 point contracts. If you are new you must do the 160 buy in to qualify for developers points.

Not true. I just bought a 100-point contract at Kidani. I am a new member. This was not an add-on. And I received 100 developer's points. In fact, I've already made my reservation with those points. I would keep calling!

You may have gotten in under the wire with that one. I know there was a lot of confusion when they first started offering a 100 point buy in instead of the mandatory 160 buy in. It could just depend on who you ask too, but that's what we were told. Cool for you...wouldn't have affected us either way, we got developer points on our add on.

I definitely think its worth a shot. The worst that can happen is they stick to their position that it is only for add-on 100 point contracts. You won't know until you try.

I got the same, though now I am terrified that they will take my devloper points away since I wasn't supposed to get them. My contract was at Jambo though. I immediatly booked a half vero/ half ssr trip on them.

Keep in mind different sales locations can offer different incentives. We received developer points, but it was an add-on of a new master contract.

I just read a post in another thread where someone else recevied dps for NEW 100 pt AK contract. While I am SOOOOOOOOOO happy for them, it is so irritating that we have been told no. I decided to go over my sales guide today and left a message for a sales manager. I've not heard a response yet, but I am irritated to the point that I might say we are going to walk away from the deal if they don't give them to us. It's a shame that our first experience with the DVC is this. Wish me luck.

Like anything with Disney...ask 10 CM's the same question and you'll get 10 different answers. I've been having my own Disney frustration this week, although not related to DVC. I wish you luck. I get irritated when policies aren't consistent too. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

My sister called today and was told the 100+100 ended last wednesday, so that might be where the confusion is. Although she was offered 160 developers points, if she purchased 160 points.
