AKV-Kidani: my thoughts

So glad you had a great trip! AKL sounds lovely.

My 10 year old daughter slept on the pull-out couch, and the 11 year old on the chair. I layed down with both of them for cuddles and was surprised at how comfortable they were! I could have slept there myself. The room size was perfect for our family. We kept the kids beds pulled out all the time and there was still plenty of space. Having two bathrooms and the washer/dryer was awesome too.

Thanks for your reply! We would be traveling with our 2 sons who are both over 6'2" - I think they'd probably rather do the chair and pullout sofa than share a queen bed (if we just got a regular room in Jambo) plus, It would be nice to have 2 bathrooms too. :thumbsup2

You said that you had a room near the lobby - how close to the pool were you? How close to the parking? What type of view did you have from your balcony? Did you take any pics?

TIA!

Hmmmm over 6' tall - that might be an issue on the pull-out chair. I'm only 4'11" and it was big enough for me, but it wouls be really small for someone that tall. I didn't have much extra room at all. But then again - sleep alone in a small bed or share a bed with your brother - he might opt for the smaller bed!

Bus service was excellent, we had no issues at all.

Our villa was pretty far from everything but I didn't mind the walk at all.

We were thinking that we could try it out - if its a problem once we get there, we could go buy an inflatable bed. Does anyone know if its possible to get a roll away bed at AKV?

We were in room 7633, same floor as the lobby near the Rafiki elevator. The rooms accross the hall would be savannah views. It may have taken about a minute to walk to the lobby. We took the elevator down to the parking, walked along the sidewalk, crossed over, and there was a gate for the pool area. About two minutes total. Our balcony looked over a driveway/parking, and the foliage surrounding the pool. The view was fine, and we didn't hear any pool or parking area noise.

Thanks for the GREAT review!!! we will be staying there over Thanksgiving in a grand villa with 13 people!!!! :thumbsup2
