AKV January Pool Announcement

Hi!

Just received a "For your future enjoyment" letter from AKV.

It states that "It is time to refresh the pool's look and beginning January 4, the Uzima Pool complex at Jambo House will be closed to Guests. We expect the pool to reopen at the end of January. During this time, Samawati Springs Pool at Kidani Village will continue to be available for your enjoyment."

We will be at AKV-Kidani from January 7-15th. This kinda stinks. The Samawati pool is kinda small and there is no quiet pool. I hope it won't be too full. It also kinda stinks for those staying at AKV - Jambo.

It probably won't be too bad. January temperatures discourage many from swimming, leaving plenty of room for the more "hardy" guests. Jambo guests can take the bus over to the pool.

Doh! We'll be at Jambo the 16th - 21st. We have two 1/2 days scheduled for pool time, as we have a 3.5 year old fish. Oh well.

We'll be at Kidani from the 17th to the 21st. Dds should still enjoy the pool, and I'd be upset if it were a warm weather trip, but I'm sure I'll be spending more time enjoying the view from the balcony than swimming so it should be fine. Hopefully it doesn't get too crowded.

Anyone know if they're going to expand the
pool slide there? Curious, sometimes it's just a
quick refab and other times it's a brand new
look.

I think it would really stink if you were staying at Jambo b/c of the inconvenience factor. I don't think it will be that bad for Kidani residents b/c pools don't tend to be too crowded in January.
