AKV Jambo-"partial savannah" views/standard views

I thought there were a number of studios at Jambo that were listed as standard view, but in reality gave partial views of the Savannah. Yet, when I was checking Touring Plans to double check where hose rooms were, TP showed all the standard studios on the DVC (5th) floor that were standard as overlooking the pool. I hope that's a misunderstanding! Can someone please verify that?

I think TP did some reclassifying in the last year or so but I dont Think the resort did. I have A standard view room booked for this weekend and requested the kudu trail, fingers crossed some of those rooms are still standard.

Edited to add: TP only shows 13 standard view studios and we know there are over 40

I had standard view at Jambo this year with partial savannah view. I don’t think TP is completely accurate. This was 5545 or 5547.

How was that? Looking at the map of the resort, it looks very convenient to Mara.

I’ve read that when AKV first opened in Jambo there were a lot of complaints about ‘substandard’ savanna views so DVC reclassified many to standard view. Maybe TP is going by dated information, or maybe what the hotel side classifies as savanna view for cash bookings is different than what DVC classifies points booking as standard/savanna view.
I’ve highlighted in blue the areas where I believe the points standards are on an AKL map - the non club villas are all on the 5th floor, so the numbers are a bit off.

I’ve had many stays in Jambo & lately have been booking standard view & requesting Kudu trail & have luckily had villas on Kudu abutting Sunset savanna.

We had standard at Jambo booked a few years ago and lucked out with a partial savannah view in the Zebra Trail.

Our standard view rooms have always been partial savanna views, usually overlooking a staging/cast member area. I suspect there are more partial savanna standard views than pool standard views.

How was that? Looking at the map of the resort, it looks very convenient to Mara.

I enjoyed the room, view. And resort very much! I had a split stay. Arriving to AKL was so awesome. I had time to relax by the pool and enjoy tasty adult beverages
