Hello all, after a ton of discussion with my dh, we have decided to go for a Jambo house grand villa for our big family trip in April next year and I have a couple of questions...

1) What are my chances if I call in right at 9am at the 11 month mark?
2) What is the best grand villa in Jambo house? We are thinking it is one of two off the spurs of the Kudu Trail (sunset savannah), but wanted to get opinions.

My father is handicapped, but does not require a HA room, but the 1 level floorplan would definitely be better for him so he doesn't have to go up and down stairs. We also like the jambo house better for all the restaurants and lounges.

Appreciate the help.

Your chances are as good as anybody's at 9am sharp.

We stayed at the very, very end of the hallway, maybe two miles down! The walk could be undo able for your dad unless he has a wheelchair. You can borrow them for free if available. Carrying groceries was difficult too. But the view was great and the unit was awesome, we will be trying for it again. There is so much space in there. We were able to sit 11 comfortably for dinner.

The girls sat in the master tub in their bathing suits watching tv while drinking juice out of wine glasses, and everyone enjoyed playing pool on our own pool table.

The master bath is larger than my kid's bedrooms!

Thanks for telling us about the grand villas. Was it really a 2 mile walk to the transportation? I was really hoping to not have to walk that far just to get to the pool! :) My dad will be bringing his wheelchair because Disney is just too vast for him to not have it. He can walk around without it, but not for very long. I am hoping for the very first spur on the Kudu trail as that shouldn't be too bad, and have nice savannah views.

We will have 11 in our party so figured the Grand Villa was the best way to go, especially with 3 little ones.

The hallway is not actually two miles long, but it would seem that way to your dad if he had to walk. The rest of us were ok with it. The hallway you are talking about would probably be better for your situation.

Even if you end up at the very end, if you get the GV I think you'll love it.

Good luck and have fun.

The hallway might seem that long to parents with sleepy kids too :) I guess we will see. I will call next week to make the ressies.
