AKV Jambo 2 BR see giraffes?

We are booking a savannah view 2 Bedroom villa at Jambo House. We want to see giraffes outside the window. I know that nothing is guaranteed. But how should we word our request so that we would have the biggest chance of being assigned to a villa which would let us see giraffes outside the window?

(We are not booking club level.)

I know there are a zillion posts about AKV views, but my eyes are bothering me, so I would appreciate an answer to this specific question.

And I know people's thoughts pro & con savannah view, their thoughts about viewing areas outside the room, etc.

There are 3, 11 acre savannahs at AK Lodge. Sunset Savannah, Arusha Savannah and Uzima Savannah. Each savannah has it's own set of wildlife and hoofstock as follows:

•Sunset Savannah: Male Giraffe, Bongo, Impala, Thompsons Gazelles, Ostrich, Ankole Cattle, Waterbuck, African crown cranes, stork and blue cranes.

•Arusha Savannah: Pelicans, geese, giraffe, ankole cattle, zebra, Wildebeast, eland, gemsbok

•Uzima Savannah: Giraffe, Impala, Kudu, Bongo, Blesbok, Thompsons Gazelles

That list hasn't been updated in quite awhile. My son wants to be a zoologist so we spend quite a bit of time talking the "ears off" the guides. AKV is our home resort so we are there every six months or so. They move the animals around depending on many factors. There are zebras on sunset savannah, the kudu have been gone completely for several years since Florida weather was not good for them. There are ankole cattle and bontebok now on Uzima, etc. you can certainly count on seeing zebras and giraffes on either Sunset or Arusha. Sunset is our favorite.

We just back a week ago from our vacation. We had a 2 bedroom villa at Jambo house (5th floor) and we saw lots of different animals everyday. One night, there were girraffes that were just laying in the middle of the savannah. My husband brought his own binoculars with him so that came in handy.

The animals are put on display by attracting them with food. They will often move the food around to even out the wear on the savanna.

Since giraffes are the most popular animal on display, Disney will usually keep them visible from the lobby area.
