I own at Saratoga Springs but want to stay in a dedicated 2 bedroom villa at AKV during Thanksgiving 2012. Since I cannot book until 7 months out, what do you think my chances are of getting it?

Book SSR at 11 months to make sure you have a place. Then at 7 months call and try. I don't think your odds are great, but you never know. If they don't have any, make sure you go on a WL right away.

I think if you are flexible, then there is at least a 50% chance of getting your reservation if you are willing to take as big a "chunk" as you can and then add on through waitlist. I am thinking that between now and Thanksgiving there is a good chance that they will be doing another declaration so that would help to raise the potential of any wait list fillling.

Though holidays are high demand times, your chances are probably good at AKV for a 2BR savanna view if you call exactly 7 months out. Most likely, more of an issue will be whether you will be able to get a dedicated 2BR as those tend to disappear before lock-offs.

I think you have a fairly decent chance if you switch right on the 7 month window.
Savannah view is the largest category at Kidani (only Kidani has dedicated 2br's at AKV)
and Kidani is a large resort.
Also working in your favor.. Kidani is not sold out so DVC may be adding more rooms into DVC inventory as the months pass.
It may depend on when you check-in. Someone checking in on the Fri or Sat before Thanksgiving has a better chance than checking in on the Tuesday before...
