AKV done by Aug 2009???

When is AKV supposed to be completed? We are going to WDW in Aug 2009 and I'm just wondering if it is on target to be completed by then ...

I would be surprised if they opened it and pool area/Uwanja Camp was not finished.

I was told Kidani would be opened in 2 phases. Phase 1 January 2009 and phase 2 May 2009. The half section left of the lobby and the other half section right of the lobby. It's been a while since I heard that so plans may have changed.

I think that the May 2009 date is reasonable. Judging by the way photos appear, they are moving at a good pace. I have my fingers crossed for June 2009!

My occupancy date is May 1, 2009. Our trip begins May 31, 2009 so Kidani better be open by then!!!

The sooner the better for you AKV owners. I'm sure you can't wait to try it out. I'm a SSR owner and added more at SSR instead of AKV. But it looks beautiful. I'm sure we will stay there at some point.

hopefully when it first opens it will be a little easier for other DVC owners to book there until it is sold out (depending on the time of year of course)

I know that I saw a Kidani breakdown here on the Dis. I do know that there will be no value villas in Kidani, only standard and savanna.

Our home is WL, but we really want to try Animal Kingdom ... I was thinking late August might be our best shot. We are going on a cruies and plan to stop at WDW first.
