**UPDATE It was just confirmed to me by housekeeping that all Jacuzzi tubs at AKV are being replaced**

**UPDATE: On Friday, some lucky guests checking into Kidani will actually get to stay in the new rooms! The first rooms will be used for guests staying!

Housekeeping was working all day today and tomorrow to have them ready for guests staying starting Friday! Put in those room requests, Im going to still try to take a peek!**

**IMPORTANT UPDATES**

There will be a tub with no jets, murphy bed and one of those single sleepers for children that fold down under the tv.

They are keeping MOST of the furniture

The countertops will be changed

I am at WDW and I decided to check out the meeting.

This one ran long, a full hour.

Questions people asked:

*Where do the animals go when theyre not on the Savannah?
*Complaint about the food at the Mara not being good
*Question about what will happen to the furniture after refurb and if we can buy it
*Lots of money is going to reserves for future use, What happens to the leftover money once our contract ends?
*Concerns about the preservation of the authenticity of akv decor and the refurbishment being too modernized
*Someone actually asked them to charge people for housekeeping for short stays like Hilton does because he thinks this would make the dues go down
*AKV Kidani refurbished villa will be ready to view on Friday
*Will there be more club level rooms
*Walking concerns
*Will more Jambo rooms be converted to DVC
*Is there any possibility of future transportation besides buses

Thats all I can remember for now! It was pretty empty! There was free coffee and tea. No gifts and pretty cut and dry! No LSL mentioned. Am wondering if it was mentioned in any other meeting? We met with our guide and he had no info.

Whew! Honestly question 1 is something I would be angry they wasted DVC meeting time on. I am a vegan and I am saying this... what a joke of question for a DVC meeting.

Wonder if question 6 was from a Disboarder.. I think possibly. I dont want my timeshare to be anything like Hilton, thanks but no thanks.

The blt one, which i havent gotten into yet, made me more angry of what a waste some of the questions were. This one i actually found to be more informative.

Funny that the two questions you didnt like are the two i didnt like and the same person asked those questions at different times ive never eaten at the Mara so I cant say whether I think the food is good or bad but im sure its fine!

I also do not want my timeshare to be anything like other timeshares and I certainly dont want any more charges! He said he was from a different state and when he comes he wants to stay a week or longer... so basically doesnt affect him so who cares , charge people I do one to two nights stays in cali a lot so I was not happy, but the board didnt seem to take it serious.

I actually learned more than I thought which was that i have a good chance of seeing a room on Friday. For some reason, they didnt want to say where you can buy the furniture, but after the meeting a group of us talked outside and turns out there are some pieces of furniture are at the cast member store, Cast Connection. You have to know someone to buy for you, but I guess they thought maybe owners would be upset to know cast members got dibs?

Ah someone else was upset because he got turned away when he wanted to go shopping at the gift store in May and wasnt staying there.

He thought that owners should be able to go on property even when not staying there to go shopping. He was upset that he pays a lot and owns there and was turned away

Thank you guys for wishing me a great trip, we are having a blast, just got back from Dinner with Santa at my fave WDW restaurant Cake Bake and we got to meet Gwendoyln! Trip reports coming in a couple weeks!

The thing i found is that one person's issue is another thing someone likes so there's no pleasing everyone.

For example at the AKV meeting someone mentioned wanting access to the property when not staying there, but at BLT someone wanted only people staying there to be able to access the resort because she can never find parking, so there's really no right way to do things to please everyone

I think you would like the meeting but also find it to be a waste of time as well. Thats how i felt but would go again

Its funny, i did my two today, but the one i really wanted to go to in order to complain about the spa is my third SSR. Its tomorrow and I just dont want to pay for an uber to take the bus to go, I need to get to the parks

I understand completely. We currently at BCV bus stop for Magic Kingdom. Then walk over to Contemporary from there. Day 2 with an OKW at 9;00am

Guess would be per resort question if staying the same. Totals stay the same but they could changes seasons & points. They didn’t put up a points chart because we are going into 2026 & already have that one.

I guess they were driving? Because absolutely anyone can go using Disney Transportation. What an unreasonable request lol

Nope a question did come up now that I remember about reallocating points to room types and then they explained the whole if we add more to this room type we have to take some away from another room type but nothing about thew new points chart.

The board was taking notes and writing down what members were asking and I think they do take things that a lot of members ask into consideration. The mara answer was more like a tha k you for sharing, we will take that into consideration. Im going to repost the questions with some answers since my wife is sleeping
