Staying 1 BR DVC concierge in October, what room choices/view will I have??

Thanks and have a good weekend

The views are not wonderful, but the concierge service is. There are 3 1br on the savanna side, and 2 on the pool side. Up on the 6th floor, the roof line can interfere with any views.

We enjoyed both the Wanyama and Sunrise Safaris. The Sunrise can only be booked as a concierge guest.

We've been lucky enough to enjoy concierge stays twice.

you mean the sunrise can only be booked by concierge guests.

definitely sounds nice, though.

and there's daily mousekeeping, right?

Daily mousekeeping and turn-down service with chocolate! Plus the smoothies in the lounge are yummy.

Sort of OT here, but how hard is it to book CL at 11 months? We are looking into purchasing points sometime soon(I hope:goodvibes) and access to the CL level is a huge draw for AKV. If it is near impossible to get at 11 months that doesn't help much with our decision.:confused3

A friend got a 1 bedroom at 7 months two years ago.

We were assigned a room on the pool side. My friend was really disappointed, she wanted a savannah view and it was a milestone birthday trip. The next morning, the concierge cm called our room and said a savannah view was available if we wanted it but it was the HA one. We took it. Kidani was being constructed at that time so the view was not that great. The HA was not a big deal, the shower was the roll-in type and the counters were low, no island.

We've had 2 studio CL stays, once savannah, once pool/roof. We've another stay in October and another one in April. I've cancelled one. So, if you call right at 11 months, it's possible to get CL. I've never walked a reservation, but some here mention they do that.

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. Yes there's daily mousekeeping.

If you need a tub, be sure to request it. You have a 1 in 5 chance of receiving the HA 1 bedroom that does not have the jet tub. This unit has a zero entry shower only.

I'm sure it depends on the time of year, but we have had no trouble at 11 months for early December, January or March.

I had no problem booking 11 months out (our trip is Dec 1-5th). We are staying in a studio, however there was also a 1 bedroom available when I made the reservation. I am excited, this will be our first AKL CL stay :cheer2:

We booked our stay exactly 11 months out (for October).

Thanks for the tip about the bathtub. My son is 4 so its easier for him to take a bath.

That was my luck....I'm almost 6 feet tall & I have bad disc problems in my back which make a tub essential for me. My only room request was NOT to get the HA 1 bedroom unit. We checked in at 2AM and wouldn't you know it, guess what villa we got? We were stuck there for one night and then Disney graciously allowed us to move to a regular SV 1BR but still access the CL. It was quite a hike, but well worth it to be able to have a bathtub and normal height counters.
