AKV concierge question

HI, we're going to be staying at AKV concierge for the first time very soon, and was wondering if you just get to go to the lounge for snacks, or do you show your room key, or what? My brother in law may be visiting us at the room one day, and we're wondering if we can show him the concierge area as well. thanks!

I have not been to AKV concierge, but have been to the GF concierge. The AK concierge is on the 6th floor and you can only get to the 6th floor with a room key. I see no need to show your room key. I can't answer about the BIL, but I would think you are not supposed to be in the lounge unless your name is on the room.

You'll have a gold colored key instead of blue. There is a slot on the elevator panel to put your key in. The lounge is on the 6th floor, absolutely beautiful. We never had to show our room key, but I wouldn't recommend taking guests into the lounge with you just in case. They keep a very close eye on the people coming in and out. Have a fantastic time!

I would think that it's ok to show, but letting him use the lounge or treating him to food or drink would be out of line.

I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge Concierge and my aunt came to visit us. I checked with the concierge staff before having her go with us to the lounge and they said it was fine for her to come and enjoy a snack with us. If you are ever unsure, just ask, they are usually more then welcoming.

We had a friend visit DW and myself one evening while we were staying AKV Club Level. There was no problem sharing a glass of wine and some snacks with her. You must have a gold key to get access to the sixth floor. Once you are up there, no one questions you. You will have to meet them in the lobby to get them up there, that's all.
