AKV concierge planning

Several months back I posted a message from Don, the concierge planner at AKV, saying he would call everyone 200 days prior to our visit.
Well, we are slightly inside that timeframe and he has not called. Should I be patient? The problem is the Safaris can be booked at the 180 day mark, so I can't be too patient.

For anyone who has stayed AKV concierge, has Don (or anyone from planning) called you?
If so, how far in advance?

I was told to call at the 190 day mark. If you are at that point, then call.

I called Don today and he took care of my Sunrise Safari ressie and a couple of other ADR's for our trip in April. It took just a few minutes and he sent me an email with all of my confirmation numbers while we were still on the phone. Thanks, Don!

I, too, suggest that you call Don and reserve your Safari (s?) and any ADRs you need. I didn't even know that we were supposed to do the calling, so as soon as I got to 180-190 days out from our CL reservation, I went ahead and called him. He was very gracious and arranged our Safari, and e-mailed me the confirmation within 1-2 days.

I am all set!!! Don just called me! He said he did not have record of my first email but the one I resent he did receive. I was looking up the phone number as the I received the call! I booked both Safari's and another tour that I had tried to book on my last trip, but it was sold out!! I told him he was all the rave on the disboard!!

I called and spoke to Don last week at the 180 day mark. Not sure if they would have called or not. Did not want to chance missing Sunrise or Sunset.

Sorry to hear about your email problems. As it so happens, while I was on the phone with Don, he had to have me hold on for a minute or two while he was talking with another CM in the background about having to "open up a ticket" to get an email issue sorted out within their department. He told me that a CM there was sending out emails to guests but guests were calling saying they never received them. So that may be an explanation for why you've never heard back from them.

Thank you so much! My whole reason for booking Concierge was for the Safari's.
