I have read here that some AKV contracts have already closed. Can anyone confirm this?
We purchased on day 1, and our two contracts have expected closing dates of the 28th and 30th of March.

Perhaps it has something to do with use year or unit number? We have September UY, unit 33.

Thanx! :)

Ours was supposed to close late Feb, like the 24th. We got out papers that suggested we had closed but nor formal statement that we had.

You could check the Orange County records to see if your deed has been recorded. http://officialrecords.occompt.com/wb_or1/or_sch_1.asp

I just checked and there are quite a few deeds recorded for AKV for all of the first unit numbers.

Our 200 points in a DAKV, which we started the purchase on 1 Feb, closed this week.

So yes the closings have started.

Thanx everyone! I have called quality assurance and all my paperwork is in order, so I guess I'm just a late bloomer. :cool2:

I just checked mine, it actually posted 03/13/ What amazed me is how many people were listed with my name and middle initial. Scary:eek:

I saw mine. It was posted on 3/6.

Thanks Lisa for the link!

Are you taking Ambien by any chance? Maybe you were buying add'l contracts in your sleep! Wouldn't that be a nice surprise..... :)

I just looked us up and on our SSR contract they have my wifes middle initial as F instead of E. Does that matter?

No matter what I put in under name (mine, my DH's, even Disney), it comes back as "no records". Please tell me what I'm doing wrong (I also put in "deed" as type, and the dates for the last 45 days).
Thanks.:goodvibes

In the "Party name" box, enter your last name then your first name but don't put in a comma. So if you are searching for John Doe's contracts, enter the name as: doe john

For the document type, enter just the letter d. If you enter deed as the document type, it won't find anything. Searching just for document type "d" is a good idea, especially if you have a common name. It will eliminate a lot of irrelevant records.

AKV closing already??

MG...every time I read the title of your thread I keep thinking that the AKV resort is being shut down and closed! :scared:

Maybe I've been reading these boards WAY too long! :rolleyes1

It's funny you say that. Right after I posted the title I realized how that sounded, but I wasn't sure how to edit the title.

I figured I would just sit back and and watch the "view count" soar. :teeth:

I read "AKV closing" as "closing out sales" (i.e., Phase 1 sold out)!

For future reference, to edit the title: click on the edit button, when the edit window comes up, click on "Go Advanced" and then you can edit the title.

Okay, does anyone know if AKV is in Orange County, or Osceola County?
The deeds seem to be recorded in Orange, however the notarization on the deed says Osceola.

We returned from holiday and found letter from DVC saying we our deed was filed on 3/7/07. It is on the Orange County website as recorded on 3/13/07.
