AKV- Anyone book for sept. 2009 yet?

I just called at 9 AM today and was able to get a studio CL for Aug 27 and
28th. This is at the 7 month window. I was waited listed for Aug. 23-27. If it does not come through, we still have a SV studio for that time.

We are going to AKV (Kidani) from Sept. 16-25 and we are in a 2bdm Savannah view GL and I hope you get what you want!!

a little , but not really....I called last week for a studio savannah view in Jambo house specifically for Nov 8 (sun) for three nights, and it was available in both Kidani and Jambo. It is one of my home resorts, and since I didn't call at the 11th month mark, I was nervous that there wouldn't be any availability, but I actually had the choice between the two sections. I choose Jambo, I want to be close to Boma, the lounge and Jiko, and I'm very happy that I got it! It's my first time staying there as an AKV owner

Called today at noon (west coast time) and MS said I had a choice of savannah view studio, 1 bdrm, or 2 bdrm at either Jambo or Kidani for Aug 27 - Sept 2. But then my DH said that he would like to try BWV and was able to get a BWV studio std view for those dates instead. With Kidani opening, I think you might have a good chance for a 2 bdrm.

Wolfpackfan - we could have been at AKV at the same time! But my DH loves Epcot more than AK.

Thanks to everyone so much for keeping me updated and hopeful! I love planning disney trips..even if it is only every three years! Looks like we may be there the same as some of you. I am trying to decide now whch date I want to aim for check in. I could either start at the 9th (wens) or 10th thurs. I discovered that the value 2 bedrooms have 4 that are savannah view I am am hoping to get one of those...what a bonus that would be....so I figured when i check in will play a big part in those odds but I have no idea which way to go! My thoughts are most families would wait till friday to arrive so maybe either day would be ok. And I'm thinking most would be gone either labor day or the day after (tues) since school starts. I don' think most people are as crazy as me to let my kids miss 2-3 weeks of school for a disney trip! Any thoughts?

Yeah...I just booked AKV value 2-bedroom for sept. 10-17!!! Very excited but now my wheels are turning again! MSR suggested that although I was planning on making the next part of the ressie at OKW for 6 nights (then BCV for 2) that I should book my home resort SSR for now while I wait for the window to open. So I did and got a THV for 7 nights. Now I am thinking of reconfiguring and trying for the AKV for 10n, THV for 3, and then BCV for 2. Both ways use the same amount of points. I don't know what to do! The kids loved the pool at OKW but I think they would like the THV too and maybe that would be worth it even if we pool hopped once to OKW since they will be close together. I don't know what the pool is like at SSR and MS did say there will not be bus service to SSR from THV. But we could plan a water park one of those days anyway. I wonder how big a walk it will be from THV to the SSR pool area....guess i should go do some searching!!! Any opinions welcome!!!!

WOW! Congrats on getting the value 2 bed!! I will be calling in about 2 weeks for my late sept trip. I am planning on standard but it would be very cool to snag a value!

I think your plan sounds like a great trip. The only thing I might do different is do 3 nights at BCV. 2 nights just seems so short! Have a great time!

I would love 3 nights at BCV but the points are just too high and don't work out well...we go every three years so i try to use my points in the best configuration that i can...well....configure! We end with BCV so we can have a day at the end to just relax by the pools...no parks...but the kids still love it! I think I will probably be calling MS tomorrow to adjust the AKV and THV to reflect my new thoughts! Disney trips are so much fun to plan!

I understand where you're coming from And I live for planning my disney trips. I have a trip coming up next month, but here I am on the Dis planning my trip in Sept! LOL

Well, I just tried to add three days onto my ressie to make it 9/9-9/19 but there is some points issue with the second part i cancled but according to the rep they are still holding the room for me and will make it official once the points are fixed. I am so siked to get a 2-bed value for 10 nights! After we will try out THV for 3 nights..that's already booked..and finish up at BCV for 2 nights hopefully. What a great vaca this will be! Can't wait!!!
