Today we were off to US/IOA. We had booked a night at the Portofino Bay Hotel in a two bedded room so that we could get 4 room keys as DBIL and DSIL also wanted to do US/IOA. So they followed us up in their car and parked at PBH. We checked in straight away and gave Nathans phone number for when our room was ready. Now by this point we were both starting to feel under the weather but we carried on and went to US first so that we could experience the new Simpsons ride. Wow the queues were already large but with FOTL we sailed by and onto the ride we went. I must say the ride was great and wasnt so violent as BTTF was
After this we were going to go on ET but the ride was down and as it was now nearly 11.30am we stopped off for lunch at the bakery. Whilst waiting we got a call to say our room was ready. I had tuna as usual and Nathan had the beef.
After this we went on Terminator.
Before wandering back to Shrek4D then Twister.
As usual The Mummy drew large crowds.
Although there was a technically difficulty on The Mummy and we sat in the ride car for almost 15 minutes before it started up again. So that meant we had to go on it a second time!! After this we decided to try the all new Disaster.
This was good and quite entertaining, it does keep most of the old attraction. Then it was time to say hello to Jaws.
After this a drink was in order and I got a few piccies of US from the far end.
By now it was getting busier and we went past The Simpsons and the wait time was in excess of 100 minutes!
Luckily ET was now working so we went on that and enjoyed our journey to ETs planet. As time was ticking on we went over to IOA and went on the Hulk twice.
Before getting a soaking on Popeye and Blutos Bilge Rat Barges. It missed no one!
Although Nathan found a dry patch
After this we decided to head back to the PBH and left DBIL and DSIL to finish IOA. So we collected our over night bag from the car and went to find our room. Luckily we just remembered the room number! Our room was in the same area as last time and we had a good view of the bay.
As it was still quite early we took ourselves off to the pool for an hour or so.
After this we showered and headed off to Citywalk. We initially thought Margaritaville would be good but with a 2 hour wait passed and walked over to the HRC where we were seated within 5 minutes. Both of us were now not feeling too hungry so we shared the starter, which was as good as ever.
But passed on an entrée and went straight for ice cream.
It was then time to head back to PBH as we needed sleep.
