AKV addon disappointment today

We are at OKW today. I called my DVC rep today to do an AKV addon (100 points at the current incentive). Other folks have done this addon and received 2008 points. I was told that there were no more 2008 points for my AUG UY. Bootom line: No 2008 points for me. I put my name on a waiting list and had to leave a credit card number to do so. Of course there is no guarantee that they will get to me. If not I will wait till next year and addon when I can get current UY points. There is always (hopefuly) some sort of incentive. Unfortunately today was not the day.

P.S. The deal I wanted (other people received) was 100 points for $96 ($8 off per point), 100 2008 points 100 developer points, No MF till may 2009, $500 gift card. Not a bad deal for those that got it. This deal is still available for certain UY's, but I need August UY.

Sorry to hear of your disappointment,but don't give up hope. I was put on the waitlist for 100 AKV points with an August use year two weeks ago and they finally came through on Monday! So, you never know. Good Luck!

We have always had our requested UY points magically become available. Just wait a week or so.

This is what I have been telling myself. Disney doesnt turn down money if you wave it in the mouses nose. I have heard many people say they wouldn't accept the current UY being sold, and a few days later they get a call that the UY they desire becomes available. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

When they open up more inventory at Kidani, your UY may pop up again.

Okay then...I was going to call today and inquire about the same thing. We need an August UY too. I really am not interested in AKV at all, but I like the incentives. I may inquire into OKW instead.

That is the deal we got with an October UY for a Kidani unit. I think because Kidani is only going to be open a portion of some of the '08 UYs they only have so a portion of the points available with '08 points. Probably not many with an earlier August UY and they may have sold those already.

Well, I guess that I don't need to think about it since I have an August UY also. In reality I wasn't planning on doing another add-on at AKV (already have 340 points there) but the current incentive sure made be think about it.

Okay Joe....I finally figured out what happened to you when I read this. Now it all makes sense. I was confused when I didn't know your UY. I bet that within a week or two...you will get that magic phone call..and all will be good. Hang in there.
