Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed at one of the 2 bedroom villas at AK in the value category? Is that the cheapest 2 bedroom (pointwise) in DVC for that room size? May take the inlaws at some future point. :wizard:

Before you get your hopes up, unless you own at AK, it is often very difficult to book these rooms as there are very few of them. Owning at AK gives you the benefit of the 11 month booking window which usually absorbs all of the Value rooms.

The value rooms are only in Jambo house and are of various views. Yes, they are the lowest point value 2 bedrooms for DVC at Disney World.

We had 4 adults, 4 teens, and a baby this July. It was a tight squeeze but we managed. Just had to be super organized. We all get along very well. I would not recommend it with people you are not really close with. :)

just be ready for the parking lot view. I never thought I would receive it as it was our 7th anniversary. It is one of the worst views on property and you can hear the trucks early in the morning that are making deliveries.

There are only 10 2-bedroom lock-offs in the value category at AKV Jambo House. They could also be reserved as a 1-bedroom and a studio. They are approx. 3 feet shorter than the other dvc rooms in Jambo House. They are very popluar with AKV owners because of the low point cost.

This is what I am worried about for our upcoming trip in Feb. It is just DH and I, and I booked a value studio. I am worried about the parking lot view, now I am really worried if it is noisy. I may be changing my reservation if I can.

You never know if you'll get them until you try! I was able to scoop up a 1BR Value for a week in March, and my inlaws were able to get a 2BR Value for the same time about a week or two into the 7 month window. They're going to be a bit crowded with the 6 adults and 2 kids, but it was a great point value to try. I think we'll be great it our 1BR.

We just stayed in a 2BR Value for a week (Oct. 15 - 22). There were only 4 of us (Me, my wife and her parents). There was plenty of room for the four of us. We were originally supposed to have two other adults with us but they had to back out for medical reasons. I think it would have been a little crowded with six adults.

We have been lucky with the views. We have stayed in a value studio twice (just me and DW) in addition to this stay and all three times we have received the savanna view.

It might be roomy in the sense that a BLT studio is roomy. ;)

I wouldn't change your reservation. There is only a slight chance of you getting the parking lot view at AKV value studio. There are 10 value studios, 4 have savanna view, 4 have pool view and 2 have parking lot. The value studios at AKV (along with the value 1 and 2 br) are the best point value in DVC, in my opinion.
