ok so i'll be staying @ the akl with my fam next trip, and i want to know what kind of stuff you can do there (@ akl) becuz ive never stayed there b4. Ive "been" at the hotel, when we went hotel hopping last trip, but ive never actually stayed there. I heard its wonderful, but if anyone can tell/show me (if u could post pics of the rooms and the pool, that would be great) what 15 year old can do there for absolute fun (i know i'll have fun anyway, but still) like activities and such, hen that would be absolutely great :goodvibes thanks!

I'm going there too, for my Spring Break. I'm excited!

I'm staying at Kidani Village for the Vacation Club. I have stayed at the main lodge or whatever a couple years ago, and it was fantastic! You can wander around, the building is sooo pretty to look at! There's also the safari to go see. That's really cool. I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure they usually have some kind of specialist that talks about the safari and the animals. Don't quote me on it though, haha. It's been years since I stayed there.

It's such a beautiful resort! We've stayed at Jambo; Kidani is a short walk/bus ride away and has the waterworks playground.

There are so many activities at this resort. Just walking around the grounds and looking at the savannahs is time consuming enough. The CMs are so friendly! They usually have a few around the animals by the fences if you have any questions. The flamingo pond right by the Jambo pool is fun to look at. Always have your camera!

There's a bead activity where you follow a schedule of activities. Each activity will earn you a bead that you put on a string. Just go on to each activity (at different times and days) until you complete your string.

Hmm...sometimes the CMs will play drums and other instruments around the lobby area. There's also a lot of artwork in the lobby to look at. The gift shop is great. There's a cute tictactoe table in the front by the gift shop entrance.

There is a nightvision activity at night by one of the balconies. You get night goggles to see the animals. It looks really cool; everything's green and you can really see a lot clearer.

There's also a story walk at night that younger kids like to participate in. A CM will tell a story around the campfire and give the kids instruments to parade around the lobby.

www.allears.net has pictures and reviews and stuff.

its my favorite hotel. I wouldn't shell out for a savannah view though. The pool view is GORGEOUS and much cheaper and you can see the animals all the time just walking around in the hotel.

thanks 4 the tip :) we were actually thinkin about the savannah view, but we weren't sure. thanks :goodvibes
