We have just booked Animal Kingdom lodge!! very excited but now need help!! what are the restaurant's like there? it would be for Dinner and we are not on the dining plan,

Jiko and Boma are both great. Highly recommend you make reservations ASAP, as they were booked solid when we went a few years back. You won't be disappointed at all. Great Choice!!! I am actually a little jealous and wish I were going with you!

You are very lucky!! We just stayed at AKL and had a wonderful time!! It is a very beautiful and relaxing resort.

You really can't go wrong with the restaurant choices there-they are all great!

We went to the dinner buffet at Boma and honestly, I could have eaten there every night it was so good! I've heard their breakfast buffet is good as well.

Never been to Jiko, but it gets fantastic reviews.

The Mara was a wonderful CS restaurant. We did breakfast, dinner, and a late night snack there. They had the best chicken strips I've ever tasted.

Just be sure to get ADR's if you go to Boma or Jiko-these places tend to fill up quickly!

I've been to Jiko's two years ago, and I enjoyed my meal. The service was great, my waiter was introducing me to the various wines from Southern Africa. I had a great time. This year I'm staying at AKL and Jiko's is definately on my dining list.

Stayed there Dec. 06 and ate at both. Boma is a very good buffet and there are many African influenced dishes on it. Jiko was the best meal we have ever had at WDW. Our waitperson was great with our DS 6 and DD 8. The kids loved their food also.The resort is beautiful.

We enjoy eating at Boma and have always had a good meal there. We haven't done Jiko mainly due to the price but would like to go there sometime as well.
