We recently had 5 nights at AKL & loved it. Never thought I'd get to stay in delux. Now I have cheap flights for next year & have priced up the above resorts. AKL I loved it but not keen on food choice. WLR love the idea of been near MK & it's the only one in our price range. YCR to be able to walk to Epcot & HS would be great & Norman & Stephen love steak.

I know that pros & cons to all of them, but just looking for your opinions.
It's £260 more for WLR than AKL & £600 more for the YCR, what do you think? Would it be worth the extra?

Loved the location on boardwalk and the pool for yacht club. Would say prefer the akl for atmosphere an food but location is the only downside for me. Would love to stay at wk lodge!!!!!!!!!

This! I prefer the atmosphere at AKL but the location of the YC is amazing and the steakhouse is to die for. I think I prefer AKL overall but our next trip is a F&W trip so I think it'll have to be at YC :)

YC is looking more tired than AKL though, so if you're after luxury then Id go with AKL. Can't comment on WLR as I've never been :)

YCR is a bit overpriced (compared to the other 2) and it's a bit expensive to just have a gorgeous pool :)

I would only consider AKL in Savannah views. So don't know if it fits with the prices you've mentionned

WL is stunning.

That would be a tough choice.

I'd probably go for AKL savannah view, but I must admit that Sanaa is one of my favorite restaurants.
Or maybe I'll toss a coin to decide between AKL savannah and WL woods view.

As previously said, YC would be out, due to the big price difference.
I'd rather get a nicer room at AKL or WL than spend £600 more at YC

We love WL! Proximity to MK, boat ride to Contemporary(more dining options!), fab resort and a new pool next year. Super value!

Most dis hotels very similar and you pay for location. Location of yacht club for me is hard to beat hence the extra cost

Thanks guys. My prices are for a standard view room, for ten nights incl tickets & DP.
£2600, £2850,£3200. Also priced ssr at £2400.
We had standard view room only last year, our room overlooked the lobby on the 4th floor and had a view of the people pens, we had a wall on the roof on level with the balcony and had to stand on a chair to see the animals, but it was worth it. Think we've narrowed it down to AKL or WLR .

i'm not a big fan of AKL, other than looking at the animals, so you should take my opinion with a grain of salt!

my second favorite resort on property is wilderness lodge (number one for me is the grand floridian) - i love the look of the WL...and the atmosphere...i love the pacific northwest in the US, so that's probably why...
i also very much enjoy the boat that takes you to the magic kingdom...i find that to be very relaxing....though i know there are others who hate getting to the magic kingdom that way...

as for the yacht club....i also very much like it..
we've stayed there numerous times...probably more than the wilderness lodge...
i love the pool, i love the decor of the resort (that yacht club woody look), i enjoy the location (walk to epcot, the boardwalk etc)..

so....did that help?

i would probably be equally happy in the YC or WL...

by the way, check regarding pool refurbishments....i know that WL was undergoing a pool refurbishment, which can negatively impact your stay...perhaps they've finished it..i don't know..

Thank you, I think that I'll like them all. Ds17 is not a fan of Epcot , swaying towards wl as we like the idea of taking the boat to the contemporary then the monorail around the resorts for the dining. Also were thinking of trying the hdd. Got to decide by Monday to get the $100. Will check that the pool is finished, but we don't use the pool really so no birdie for us. Love the beach though

Having stayed at aklv 3 times snd wlv once snd bought Disney vacation club at WL I have to say WL. It has the wow factor. But My second favourite is AKL. Both rustic and have breathtaking lobby's. When are you going?

I loved the lobby at AKL , on the pictures the rooms don't look as nice at WLR but the lobby does. We fly 27/8-11/9, latest we've been, I work in school and we return late this year plus I requested and granted extra days off. Swaying toward WLR but Stephen loved AKL and as he will be 18 and it could be his last trip with us, I want it to be special. Decisions, decisions, what a great dilemma to have though.

It's a tough one!!
We just booked our adult only trip.......(."guilt is eating at me already and not even booked the hotel yet")
And we was having the same issue,we love Akl but have wanted to do WL or YC for what seems like forever, our boys really want to stay at YC though, ever since they seen it when we ate at the steakhouse! and as I already feel guilty about the cruise and Disneyworld plus as it's alot more,we decided to rent a car and stay at AKL instead.
We will do YC when we take them next time plus it seems a better deal to pay the same for 5 as it would he for just us 2!

I just remembered one thing that can make a difference - the rooms at YC are bigger.
The rooms at WL are the same size as at AKL

We LOVED Wilderness Lodge when we stayed there last year - but with so many Disney resorts we like to try something different - for that reason alone I would suggest trying one you have not stayed at.

We arrive at AKL on Monday - first time there !! Very excited - back in 2007 we booked it for our first trip to WDW but downgraded to Caribbean Beach and then again to Pop due to budget.

So nice to finally get there!

I personally love the Epcot area hotels, from my perspective the location is just perfect. I've stayed at YC and it was lovely, prefer BC but they both use the same pool and are both nice. So I'd have to say YC if I had the choice.

We're staying at AKL next year, never been to AKL before so it'll be good to have a different experience and I'm looking forward to it. We mainly chose AKL because it was the cheapest of the deluxe for our dates and we were still getting free dining etc. Never been to WL but that's definitely on the list for 2016!

Thanks everyone, it's really great to have such a lot of input from you all. I know ultimately we have to decide and still not decided, it's much better knowing what other Disney lovers think and of first hand experiences.

You need to decide what's most important to you. I've stayed at all three. Solely based on the hotel I prefer AKL but would only stay there again if I was spending a lot of time at the resort. The food here is good too. WL only did one night there and liked it a lot but wouldn't do a whole holiday there. Yacht and a beach Club win by a million miles for location and pool and restaurants. But fast food options are pretty rubbish unless you walk to the Boardwalk and the quality of the rooms is substandard compared to AKL, although somewhat bigger. So I think it depends what your priorities are. For a general holiday I'd choose Yacht Club out of your choices.

Think I'm favouring WLR just a little worried about the buses as we don't drive. Seems to be a lot of people staying the buses go around all the MK resorts and taking ages. Anyone advise on this?
