AKL vs Contemporary (Dec/pool question)

We are in the planning processes for a WDW stay Dec 19 through Dec 26. We will probably split our stay between Contemporary and the AKL.

We've stayed at the Contemporary in December in the past. Anyone have insight into how these compare during the holidays?

Specifically, in our Contemporary stay, we recalled the pool being a touch cold. Any knowledge/insight as to whether the AKL pool might be any warmer?

Any info will be helpful in deciding how we split the stay.

If you haven't made your reservations yet, the deciding factor might very well be if/when/where you can get reservation. That's a busy week...

The two pools at the Contemporary Resort (especially, the quiet, round pool) may be colder than the AKL pool due to the fact that the pools are located near Bay Lake. It can be really windy near the lake.
