AKL visit

Do you still need a reservation at one of AKL's restaurants in order to just go and see the resort?? We will be there Oct 13-Oct 20 and would love to see the Lodge.

I was there in mid August and drove over to the Lodge and let the security guard know I had reservations to stay there for Labor Day weekend (which I really did) and asked if I could go for a brief look around. The guard said sure, asked for my last name & printed it on her clipboard list & let me through! We stayed for about an hour or more looking around and then had a quick snack at Mara. I had not problems at all, the guard didnt check to see if I really had reservations or not. I parked my car near check in and wasnt questioned as to why I was there or that I was parking where I parked by the bellsman staff.
