We arrive at EPCOT right as a character bus was pulling up, DS got MM's autograph and due to the misty, drizzly weather they headed in early! We did not buy rain ponchos until we where real wet! Tried our best to stay inside attractions as much as possible,

We had a 1:00 PS at Alfredo's! We had tried an appitizer here in May and where blown away by it! This time, it was not what it had been! The appie cost $24.95 last time it was filled with 8 slices of 5 different kinds of meat, and piles of 5 different kinds of cheeses as well as olives and bread! This time we had 2 slices of 4 different kinds of meat, and 1 piece each of 4 cheeses, no olives but still the $24.95 price tag! WHOA! the problem is you have no way to know it has changed since you where last there soooo, DH and I both had a glass of wine that was really good, he had a red and I had a white, DS was not feeling great so we decided to finish the appie and wines and head out!

We visit a couple of more countries but it is raining steadily so we don't do them all,

Dinner is at Le Cellier! oh FYI, DH and I are pin collectors! we walk in at 4:30 for our 5:00 PS and the 1st thing that happens is the CM pulls on her lanyard with a HUGE grin and asks us if we want to trade, ok, we bite, she has 5 lanyard pins! we trade her for 4 of them and then she spends alot of time talking to my DS, he tells her that this is his B-day trip and she makes a big fuss over him! Food is great! will come back here for sure!!

We leave and head over to MK for spectromagic! (we missed seeing the Beach Boys!!) We ride Buzz and head to the hub to get a good seat for Spectro! AFter about 30 minutes 2 CM come over and ask my DS if he wants to turn off the lights to start the parade!! I am so excited! anyway, I had never seen spectro close up, I am 5' tall and unless I am close to the front I see alot of backsides! so right on the curb with no one in front of us, DS starts the parade and it is wonderfull!!!!

After the parade we go ride the tea cups and walk around to wait for the fireworks! As the fireworkds are going off, a CM comes up to us and tells us that there are a bunch of characters in the store and its nearly empty, because we live in Louisville, home of "Thunder over Louisville" the fireworks don't interest us that much. We walk in and HOLY COW we have Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Cinderella, Minnie, and Cinderellas mice all to ourselves, my DS slow dances with Cinderella for a solid 5 minutes, telling her about everything he has done, she is awsome, my DH dances like a wild man with Eeyore! By day a web designer/developer, by night an Eeyore dancing with fool!! Anyway, the absolute best WDW memory that I have ever had! Nothing is even in the same stratosphere as this evening!

We go back to the room, on the table is a birthday card signed by the characters and a AKL MM toy! WOW more chocolates on the pillow, room is perfect and we drift off to a good nights sleep!!

How great is that! Did your son have on a special pin or somethin that indicated it was his birthday? What a great memory for you all to have!

Thanks for posting!

Actually he told everyone that it was his birthday trip but he only wore a birthday button on the 13th.

I think he just liked talking to everyone!!:)

It sounds like you had a wonderful day!!! I can't wait to hear more. Your trip report so far is great and making me want to stay at AKL!
:sunny:

Oh my goodness, what a night!! Sounds so exciting. And congrats to your son for his birthday (I bet he will never foget this birthday)!

Hi neighbor! Sounds like an incredible Disney day! Do post some photos of it all if you can, but if you're like me, you get too caught up in the moment and forget to take pictures. Lovin' your reports so far. Did you take I75 all the way down or go over and hit I95?

we took 75 all the way down. As far as the pictures I am happy to report that we ONLY took 692 pictures this trip!!! First trip with a digital cameral we took over 1500 pictures! Each trip we take less and less, how many views of the ball , castle, hat and tree can you really take that are different?? I have several of Alex, me and DH dancing in the store, only 1 of him and the cm turning off the lights to start the parade though!! Will post those soon!!

Please do post those photo, we'd love to see them. I think we're going to take I75 down to Knoxville, then 40, 26, then I95 the rest of the way down. I've been that way before and it's not as many trucks/traffic on that road. Plus, I'll have three seniors with me this time and they want to stop for the night. I'm trying to get us a good rate at Disney Hilton Head Island for one night.

I hear ya on taking lots of pics with the digital. They're a wonderful invention!
