AKL Transportation

Honestly, so many people tried to steer me away from taking Disney Transportation at AKL. But it was definitely the FASTEST WDW bus ride I have ever experienced.

The longest ride was 20 minutes from AKL to MK...People told me it could take an hour...not at all! It was fairly quick! I went during regular season 5/13 - 5/21...not that it would matter. (unless the streets were all crowded and there was traffic...something i've never seen in WDW)

There are very few buses that have only one stop...AND some resorts have more than one stop! Because of these multiple stops, the bus ride takes longer AND there are never any available seats. With AKL Transportation, I always found a comfortable seat (even after park exit) and got back to the hotel in a very timely manner.

So to AKL Transportation. It's by all means the best transportation system (beside the monorail & ferrys) in WDW.

I was there yesterday and I felt the wait time for the bus was pretty bad. About a 35.min wait for a bus from the AK to the AKL! Seems like they should be more frequent to the AKL of all places but our wait was the longest of many of the resorts. I say this because as we arrived several busses from other resorts were just pulling out. Well most of them had returned before the AKL bus arrived! Go figure

We also think AKL transportation is some of the best. BC buses were awful sharing with YC, BW, Dolphin and Swan!

3 weeks ago we had the whole bus to ourselves, from DTD. (We just missed the bus, to our surprise, another was right behind it.) I felt guilty, like I was wasting gas. They don't have great bus service, they have great chauffeur service
