AKL to Universal?

Hello! We are staying at AKL in a few weeks. We are planning on visiting Universal and IoA one day during our stay. What is the best way to get there? We will have 7 adults and an infant. Thanks!

You have a few different options. 1)You could sign up for the Mears shuttle and they would pick you up from the hotel and drop you off after you were done (though you would have to commit to pick-up/drop-off times in advance).

2) You could cab back and forth (probably $40-$50 each way).

3)Rent a car. We did this last month. We rented from the Car Care Center and Budget sent a van to get us from AKL and brought us back when we dropped the car off. I would recommend renting the car the evening before your IOA day so you're able to get to the park early.

It's going to be relatively expensive with a group that size because you're not going to fit in most cabs or rental cars, and Mears charges per person for their transfers.

The Mears shuttles would run about $19 per adult roundtrip for a total of $133. (The infant would be free.)

If you can get a large van cab, which I think is possible, it's going to run you about $50 plus tip each way.

Unless you can rent a 10-passenger van, you'd need two rental cars for your group.

You could arrange a van through a car service, like FL Tours, for about $150 plus tip roundtrip.

Note that with some or all of those options you'll also need to figure out how to arrange a car seat for the infant.
