AKL to grocery store

Hello all. Can someone tell me what the closest grocery store is to the AKL? I'd like to stock up on a case of water and snacks for our trip but don't really feel like waiting around for a grocery delivery. How much would a round trip taxi ride and a 10 minute wait while I shop set me back? Thanks all!

You wouldn't have to wait around for a grocery delivery. They'd leave your order with Bell Services.

The only supermarket in Lake Buena Vista is Goodings; I don't know what, if any, stores are closer to AKL but it likely wouldn't be cost-effective to pay for a taxi to drive you each way AND wait for you.

The only delivery service that fits your criteria is Garden Grocer (www.gardengrocer.com). There are two others, but neither fits your needs. WeGoShop must set a delivery time and you must be present, and I know you don't want to wait around. Gooding's can't deliver alcohol, and you specifically asked about beer.

Garden Grocer CAN deliver to Bell Services if you request it, but it's not their automatic way of doing it. They will try to schedule a time for you to be present to accept delivery, but after you simply say you want the groceries to be delivered to Bell Services, they'll happily set it up that way.

I think if you order alcohol though, that you have to be there to show ID.

I agree, I think it is Florida law that if you order alcohol you have to be present at the delivery. That is what I was told anyway.
We schedule our delivery with wegoshop.com to our convenience, so we are not waiting around for it.
We will arrive at the BWV around 12:30. I expect to be heading to Epcot around 1. We will spend several hours there while our room is readied and then we want to head back to the resort around 5 to unpack, settle in, and freshen up for dinner. I expect to get in our room then. So I will schedule a grocery delivery around 5:30 and it should arrive as I am unpacking and settling in. We have ADR's at 7:45 at San Angel Inn, so again this delivery time fits our schedule.

We used the Publix which is pretty near by. Sorry but I don't know the road names (ignorant Brit putting his hand up... ) but you come out of the Lodge, at the first set of lights turn right into Sherberth Road (I think) and follow it to the end where there's more lights. Turn right - it might be the 528 - and it's a few minutes up on the right. About 10-15 mins top to get there I'd say...
