AKL to AK

We are planning on doing breakfast at BOMA on our second morning (as we'll probably be up really early!!) and then heading on over to AK for the day.

Can anyone give me advice about parking at AKL?
Is it best to drive to AK after brekkie? (We are staying offsite) any ideas how long this takes? I'm planning on being at the park for opening.

When you drive up to AKL tell the guard on the gate you have a breakfast reservation and they will let you in. After your breakfast I would drive over to the AK parking lot, that should take around 5 minutes and is very easy to do.

If you are going to Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast, may I suggest that you have a look at their animals first. The animals from memory are fed about 8am and right by the hotel, so you will get some fantastic photos. There are many viewing points around the hotel to see the animals, one of the best is right outside reception, as you enter the hotel the reception is on your left, straight ahead is a very large glass window area, take the door out of there into the viewing area. Katie officially you are only allowed tp park at AKL allday if you are a resident,in saying that they aren;t rushing you out the gate as soon as you are finished! AK isn't walking distance so you would need to use transport,personallyI'd take the car & park at AK then take a resort bus to AKL, as a previous poster said take the opportunity to see some of the animals on the Savanna as it's a bit hit & miss on the safari ride.

I reckon you could easily park at AKL for breakfast then drive over to AK in time for park opening, it's not that far away (I think it literally took us about 5 minutes when we went to dinner going from AK to AKL) AKL has a big car park and with a breakfast reservation you should have no problems

Some very good suggestions... i think we'll drive between to 2 sites, but maybe book a slightly later breakkie to see the animals being fed.
