AKL small 25 point add on contract

I have a resale contract that I recently acquired earlier this year. AKL is my home resort. I am considering purchasing a 25 point add on contract in order to assist with future reservations and a trip that I have planned June 2017. However, the trip that I have scheduled for June 2017, I plan to rent a studio at GF for 3 nights. Between banking and borrowing, I will be able to use these points for that June 2017 trip. If available, would it make sense to buy an add on contract at another resort? In order to give me the 11 month availability? I would also be able to stay in Magic Kingdom area on future vacations possibly for a night or two which I think could provide some additional flexibility. Or would it better just to add the points on to my AKL contract same use year and not complicate things? I apologize if this sounds confusing! I thought the experts on the disboards may have some thoughts on my line of thinking! Thank you!

Also.... if GF is not available should I consider a 25 point add on contract at BLT if I am satisfied with that location ?

I would add on at AKL unless you had some future requirements for more points and would add on at the new resort. The reason - 25 points is next to nothing at the MK resorts. Using banking and borrowing to make it more useable has the added possibilities of leaving points hanging out there. You still would only be able to use that 25 point contract at 11 months and would have to wait until 7 months to combine together with the AKV. So, IMO, 25 points is too small of a contract to buy just to have a second resort. There would need to be a specific fit for you (like you were local and only had plans to use it for a night or two every other year) and it doesn't sound like that applies.
