AKL Savannah view in the summer??

Hi all,

Anyone stayed at the AKL in a Savannah view room during the summer? Did you get to see animals or were they laying low from the heat? We stayed there during the spring and it was wonderful - saw tons of animals. We're plannning a trip in August and are trying to decide which resort to choose. The kids mentioned they would like to go back to AKL, but I'm wondering if we will really see the animals, if it's really hot.

I have gone in late-July. Yes, you can still see the animals. They move a little slower, but they are out usually @10:00am till @10:00pm.

We stayed in Sept 2010 but were at the parks from 11am until dark. We never saw any animals. This past October we saw animals as early as 8am. I don't think I'd book Savannah view in the summer again.

In case you're wondering, there is NO smell even in the summer. Disney keeps it really clean.

We were at kidani in aug. late afternoon, early evening animal viewing was great by the main area off the lobby

We stayed at Kidani Village last July and there were always animals to be seen. Our 2 bedroom villa was at the very end of the resort, it's a long walk to the room but the views were FANTASTIC. I'd take that location again in a heart beat. The giraffes and zebras spent a lot of time by our room.
