AKL Savannah View best floor

I think I read that the 3rd and 4th floor views are kind of obstructed by the trees sometimes. Can anyone help me on this?

Last August we were on the second floor of the Zebra Trail with a view of Arusha Rock . The second floor is a floor below the lobby. Our view was wonderful, i.e. below the tree line and we were VERY close to the animals when they were on our side of the rock. An upper floor would have a more extensive view of the savannah but I think I preferred getting up close to the animals. One thing to keep in mind though on this level is that you are level with Arusha Rock - this means that all of the people viewing the savannah from there can also look right into your room. There was a sign on the balcony door reminding you to close your curtains for privacy. Wouldn't want to end up half naked in someone's vacation photo of a Kudu

Actually the best view I have had was the 4th floor. Loved it and could see lots of the Savannah.

Hello!

We have stayed at AKL three times and have had the
3rd floor - lobby level - Savannah view all three times.
Our views have always been fantastic.

No obstructions in any of our rooms.

We had fourth floor rooms also on the Zebra Trail, and they were just awesome! No problems with trees whatsoever. We saw everything from zebra and wildebeasts to giraffe and cranes. It was worth the price of the room and more!

The best time to see the animals was between 7 and 7:30 AM, when it was feeding time. They all converged on the food set out by the rangers, and it was a perfect photo op. There was also a small "pond" type thing in view where all the waterfowl would roost, day and night. Noisy at times, but fun to watch

We were on the 5th floor this past Feb and our view was great.

We had a second floor room on kudu trail, arusha savannah and loved it. It seems to be personal taste on whether a lower or higher room is 'best'. Each has their advantages. A few individual rooms might have a tree that is keeping you from viewing all of the savannah.
