Is there really a big diffrence between the two? Can I live without the concierge or is it worth the extra few points?

It really depends on what you're looking for - the concierge rooms do not guarantee you a savannah view and even if you do get one, it's not the nicest view. The view is of the Sunset Savannah and is blocked by the thatched roofs. You might also end up with a pool view. If your main goal is to see animals right outside your balcony, then IMO the only WTG is booking SV. If you want the use of the lounge and food offerings or club level service and don't care about your view, the CL is the WTG. In addition to the views, in order to book the sunrise safari you must be a CL level guest, so that might come into play in your decision. IMO you should try CL at least once and I have a feeling that as more memberships are sold at AKLV's it will only become harder to get in the future.---Kathy

There is a 3 in 5 chance that the Concierge unit will have savanna view but it isn't guaranteed. It is with a SV unit.

With concierge you also get access to the concierge lounge with food/drinks throughout the day, nightly turndown service and daily mouskeeping. There is also a special sunrise safari that only AKV concierge guests are supposed to be able to book.

It would be worth it to try at least once, but given that there are only 5 2BR lock-offs available in AKV Concierge it is very difficult to reserve one. If you have the opportunity to book one I would definitely try it out. The SV units are much easier to get.
