AKL Room Request?

Hi!!

I've heard a lot about faxing room requests... but since I've never stayed ANYWHERE onsite before, I have no idea what to request!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should request at the AKL? We have a deluxe savannah room (we've been saving forEVER!) I've heard things about Arusha rock?

How many people are in your traveling party? Did you have to book the "deluxe" room due to having 5 over 3yrs in your traveling party? The only difference between a regular savanna view room and a deluxe savanna view room is the size of the room. We have stayed in both and if you do not have five in your party I would reconmend you go with the regular savanna view.

Please keep in mind that a request is just that and may not be granted. There are three savannas. We have had views of the Arusha savanna and the Uzima savanna. Both offered different experiances but none was better then the other just different. We also just make our requests when we book and leave it at that. I would suggest you request a room on the Zebra trail which is very convienent to the pool area, food court, health club and so forth. Depending on what side of the trail you get you would either have a view of the Arusha Savanna or the Uzima Savanna.

We love the AKL and will be back there for our sixth stay this coming January.

We actually have the deluxe room because it coincides with the level of room on our cruise (seasickness DESPERATELY needs a verandah!)... we didn't have a choice for the hotel!

From hearing your excellent review of the AKL, I'm not sure I NEED to request anything! I think I'll just take what fate gives me! I'm not sure I can go wrong??
