AKL Rate question?

Okay here's the deal.......

I am booked at the Swan from 6/27 to 7/3 with a great rate but after reading all the nice posts on the AKL, I thought I would look to see what rate I could get there. For the dates listed above, I was quoted $250 a night for a guarenteed Savannah View. I originally chose the Swan for it's great location especially after the parks close (ie: Boardwalk) and for viewing Illuminations from the room if we decided. Now I'm wondering if AKL was the way to go. $250 is a little higher than I was prepared to pay but it's not like we go all the time. In fact, it's our first family trip.

So once again, is $250 a good rate or are there better deals out there?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

CAP Aircrew,

That rate seems high to me. Did you check with the current codes? I do believe that they are good thru 7/3/03 which would qualify you. I've stayed there twice before and honestly do not remember paying any more than $189.00. We stayed there when the resort 1st opened and had an awesome rate of $129.00 for savannah view. If I were you I would do some more research into the codes and depending upon the AP rate if and when they appear you may want to consider purchasing an AP for one member of your party. Good Luck.

I think these rate codes generate a price of $215 + tax - not sure if your $250 included tax or not

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I too thought the rate was high. I was given this quote through Dreams Unlimited using a code so I thought it would have been a little better.

I just plugged in two adults for your dates with a savannah view and got a quote of 184.29/day for a seven day stay 2/27-7/3. That price did not include tax:D

We are using the current code which offers the lowest rate currently available to anyone for your timeframe and have a Savannah view reserved for $215 plus tax which comes out to around $239 per night total. You can book a standard view room for $139 plus tax I believe. If AP rates aren't any less than the code we may switch to a standard room as $75/night adds up over 8 nights!

HEY-- JAYGATZ-- HOW DID YOU GET THAT LOW RATE?
215 is the lowest I have found.

OOPS...JUNE ONLY HAS 30 DAYS:o I was figuring seven days between 6/27 and 7/3. Sorry to all :o
