AKL questions???

DW and I are thinking about taking a long weekend in Oct and of course it just wouldn't be right if we didn't spend it at WDW

Anyway, we thought we would try AKL this trip and since we have not been there I had a couple of questions for those of you who have........

Savannah View vs. Deluxe Savannah View- is there a difference in the view, or just the room size? It will just be the two of us so room size isn't really an issue, but I certainly don't want to sacrifice the view at all.

Second, are any sections or wings better than others? We love the Poly and have our favorite buildings there, so I was wondering if any of you have particular areas of AKL that you prefer.

Hubby and I did a long weekend at AKL (concierge).

It was fantastic. We had deluxe savannah...we were on arusha savannah, kudos trail. 5th floor. We never left the resort..we had room service breakfast one morning, boma another. Boma for dinner one night..Jiko another. We were able to relax in the hot tub and pool, enjoy the pool bar and lobby..and best of all..enjoy our balcony and the concierge lounge.

We can't wait to do this again...definately can recommend it!!

Hi,
The only difference between a "deluxe" savanna view room and a "standard" savanna view room is the size of the room and the floor that the room is on. The "deluxe" savanna view rooms are all on the fifth floor.

I would reconmend a "standard" savanna view room and put in a request for a view of the "Arusha" Savanna. This is our fav.

I am sure you will have a great stay at the AKL.
